Day 1 – Twelve Days in June

For twelve days, instead of sketching in my sketchbook, I’m painting. One a day, whatever comes to mind, sometimes inspired by dreams or just meandering thoughts.

Day 1 – Sugar & Spice.

Right now I’m inundated with new babies, and of course my thoughts travel that way. “Sugar & Spice” is simply that, a baby in a womb or a clam shell. Wrapped up tight or being coddled. The baby is old-looking, possibility due to my lack of familiarity or comfortability with the subject? The squares are impressions of sugar crystals, all together maybe a little too sweet.
